Sherzod Shermatov: "If this project is implemented, many problems will be resolved"

During the visit, his first deputy for e-government and digital economy Oleg Pekos, deputy minister for investments and finance Jamshid Egamberdiev and others accompanied the minister.

Bakhrom Ziyaev, director of the e-Government project management center, and Bakhtiyor Uglamov, director of the Digital Economy Research Center, greeted them.

The Minister first got acquainted with the conditions created for the employees, and then got acquainted with the activities of the Information Service of the Center. Before showing the video about e-government, Sh. Shermatov said frankly: "To be honest, constantly thinking about problems in schools and their solutions, I did not follow your work on social networks." This shows that the leader is not indifferent to even small problems in his business.

Then everyone was invited to the office for a meeting. There was a presentation on the work done on the development of e-government and projects for the near future.

Initially, Sherzod Shermatov was informed about the e-government rating, which shows how much government bodies, regions use digital technologies.

Then, experienced specialists of the Center made presentations of a number of large projects, such as Single Identification System (ONE ID), Interdepartmental Integration Platform, Unified Register of Information Systems and Resources, Register of Links and Classifiers, Open Data Portal, and Unified Billing System.

Along with the study of the projects, the minister made proposals for their further improvement and coordination. He also stressed that when implementing such projects, we must not only rely on world experience, but also take into account the relevant aspects.

Sherzod Shermatov was especially pleased with the presentation of the project "Electronic State Register of Population", which is scheduled for the near future, and said that if this project is implemented, many problems will be solved.

In addition, he made proposals for the promotion of the services provided by Single Interactive Portal of Public Services and the work carried out by the Center.

“If e-Government is primarily aimed at the well-being of our people, then people should have easy and convenient access to the services of the Single Portal. For this it is necessary to take all measures. “It is necessary to avoid loud statements when promoting other services or e-Government, but simply explain that there are such opportunities and conveniences,” the minister said.

During the presentation, Minister of ICT Sherzod Shermatov said that he would study the problems arising in the development of e-government, help them find solutions and will always support the Center in this regard.
