This seminar started off as usual

Most of us are usually indifferent to reports of a scientific seminar on a particular topic. But in fact, before this stage, scientific centers, employees who work in them for months, and sometimes for years, study the mechanism for the development of a particular area that serves the interests of the country and people.

Aziz Mukhitdinov: “Many of our citizens still do not believe that a document has legal force if it does not have a written signature or a clear stamp.”

The scientific seminar held at INHA University on the topic “Results of research conducted as part of a research project to improve the international ranking of Uzbekistan based on the analysis of indicators and methodology for the development of e-government” is considered relevant today.

But this time the event started in an unconventional way. Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Rector of INHA University Muzaffar Jalalov, before talking about the work done and plans for the future, He heartily congratulated the Director of the Center for Digital Economic Research, a brave young leader who makes a significant contribution to the development of the ICT sector Bakhtiyor Uglamov on his birthday.

Then the floor was given to Aziz Mukhitdinov, Director of the e-Government Project Management Center. The head of the Center emphasized the importance of scientific research in the development of e-government, the need to strengthen the foundations of the sphere and its effective work, as well as the initiative and cooperation expressed by INHA University. At the same time, Aziz Mukhitdinov stressed that this year the main attention will be paid to electronic services provided to the population.

- As you know, in 2021, 56% of applications for public services from the total number were accepted through the Single Portal, and 44% - locally. We analyzed not 56 percent, but 44 percent. To understand why so many people do not use government services over the Internet. It turned out that the psychological barrier among the population still exists. For example, many of our citizens still do not believe that a document has legal force if it does not have a written signature or seal. Therefore, in 2022, we want to focus on the promotion of electronic services, based on the needs of the population and the fact that electronic services are created specifically for them, Aziz Mukhitdinov said.

On the part of the participants at the seminar, the reports and proposals of a number of speakers were highly appreciated, including Gulnor Dzhumayeva - senior researcher at INHA University, Nasiba Kamilova - head of the department for public relations and media, Dilshod Yakubov - head of the APA department, Sveta Amaniyazova - doctoral student of the Karakalpak State Berdakh University.

We were especially pleased with the great interest of young people in the process. In particular, the life thoughts of Oydin Karimova, a student at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, who is now working on a new project aimed at ensuring that not only young people, but also the elderly can use the possibilities of e-government, are truly commendable.

At the end of the event, an awards ceremony was held following the results of the competition "Best article on e-government", organized by INHA University.

By agreement of the members of the jury, the first place was awarded to Dilshod Yakubov, the head of the APA of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the second place to Sveta Amaniazova, a doctoral student of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, and the third place to Nasiba Kamilova, head of the public relations and media department.

The winners were awarded with memorable gifts.
