A seminar was organized on the further development of the open data sector

At the State Committee on Statistics organized a seminar on additional measures for the further development of the open data sector in the Republic of Uzbekistan and ensuring transparency of the activities of state bodies and organizations, as well as the effective implementation of public control.

The seminar was attended the head of the audit and examination department of digital economy and e-Government projects of the e-Government Project Management Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan Doniyor Maksumov

During the seminar, the effectiveness of the work carried out in our country on the further development of the open data sector was discussed. The development of a new version of the open data portal as part of the further development of the open data sector is a clear evidence of this opinion. The importance of ensuring the transparency of government bodies and organizations on the Portal was also emphasized.

It was noted that the integration of 12 databases of 10 ministries and departments was carried out on the basis of publicly available data, which are provided in an open form for the implementation of projects.

A number of comments were made at the seminar about what results should be achieved through the development of open data in our country. Also, increasing the transparency of public authorities and implementing the concept of "Open Government", informing foreign investors about the opportunities and potential of the country and thereby attracting investment, the formation and development of tourism services, the participation of civil society in the formation and organization of social and political institutions.

It was suggested that the quality of life of the population could be improved by increasing the level of access to information.
