Cooperation in Digital Government Discussed with the Delegation of the Republic of Korea

On 23 June 2026, the Digital Government Projects Management Center hosted a meeting with a delegation from the National Information Society Agency (NIA) of the Republic of Korea, led by Senior Vice President Kyungmee Jang.

The meeting was attended by the Center’s Director Anvar Mansurov and representatives of both sides, who discussed prospects for further expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea in the field of digital government.

During the meeting, the participants were introduced to the key areas of activity of the Korea-Uzbekistan Digital Government Cooperation Center (DGCC), with particular emphasis on its role in facilitating knowledge exchange and implementing joint initiatives between the two countries.

The Korean delegation was also presented with an overview of Uzbekistan’s digital government reforms, including the stages of implementing electronic public services, the operation of the Unified Interactive Public Services Portal, the digital documents system, and the country’s data center infrastructure. In addition, the delegation was informed about Uzbekistan’s steadily improving performance in the United Nations E-Government Development Index (EGDI).

Representatives of the NIA highly commended Uzbekistan’s achievements in advancing digital government, noting that the country’s recent progress reflects successful reforms developed in line with international best practices, including the experience of the Republic of Korea.

The discussions also focused on future cooperation within the DGCC framework, including joint projects, capacity-building programs for specialists, the development of digital infrastructure, enhancement of public services, and the adoption of advanced technologies.

Both sides expressed confidence that the Korea-Uzbekistan Digital Government Cooperation Center would further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries and exchanged views on elevating bilateral cooperation to a new level.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to continue close cooperation in advancing digital government initiatives and ensuring the effective implementation of joint projects.
