Strategic Communications in the Public Sector: International Seminar Held in Tashkent

On May 20-21, 2025, an international seminar titled “Strategic Communications and Information: New Networking Strategies” was held in Tashkent.

The event was organized by the Central Financial Contracting Agency (CFCA) of Latvia  in cooperation with the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with support from the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The prestigious event was attended by leaders from key ministries and agencies, as well as representatives of the media.

In their opening remarks, speakers emphasized the importance of strategic communications and the responsibility and culture of working with information. They noted that over the past seven years, the number of internet users in Uzbekistan has grown from 14 million to 32 million.

Moreover, the government’s responsiveness to public opinion has increased from 15% in 2019 to 95% in 2025, reflecting a growing openness of government institutions to society.

As part of the seminar, Latvian experts conducted practical sessions, sharing their extensive experience in government communications, innovative approaches, and practical solutions.
